Please assess the impact of this issue and update the severity accordingly. Please refer to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/page.cgi?id=fields.html#bug_severity for a reminder on each severity's definition.

If it's something like a tracker bug where it doesn't matter, please set the severity to Low.

Comment 2 Peter Vreman 2019-06-07 08:58:47 UTC
For me as a user this is more important than the Client unregister implementation, because in my cases the servers are already decommissioned for 1+ month.

Comment 3 Christian Labisch 2019-06-07 10:17:38 UTC
As this bugzilla is announced to be the follow-up to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1707950 :
I have unregistered - and afterwards deleted - some systems before Insights has moved to cloud.redhat.com.

These (non-existing) systems are still listed on cloud.redhat.com/insights/inventory even though they are not registered on access.redhat.com/management/systems.
We urgently need the option to remove systems from the web interface as soon as possible, it was possible to remove systems in the "old GUI version" of Insights.

Comment 5 Peter Vreman 2019-06-15 09:55:47 UTC
I have the same issue that i am unable to remove 50+ systems that are not available anymore.

Using the API is an expert/guru solution putting the effort on the shoulders of the paying customers.
To use the API and build script customers shall then build up knowledge and invest time for engineering and testing the script.
This is not user centric and customer friendly.

This RFE is a major regression compared to the old Insights and therefor the severity must be 'urgent' and not 'medium'

Comment 6 Peter Vreman 2019-06-15 09:58:26 UTC
My old Use Case executed almost every week in the old Insights UI was:

- Click on 'Alert of X systems are not checkin'
- Select All the Stale systems
- Unchecking the few exceptions
- Click Actions - Remove

This Weekly use case is now Impossible.

Comment 7 Christian Labisch 2019-06-15 10:12:30 UTC
I agree with Peter - fortunately I was able to remove non-existing systems via API meanwhile, though this is not a solution for normal users.
Also, as of today the Actions drop-down menu disappeared and the new option to rename systems doesn't work, clicking on Save is functionless.

Comment 8 Christian Labisch 2019-07-02 12:42:57 UTC
After the Actions menu was removed, the UI seems to be in read-only mode. I have tested it with different browsers, it is always the same.
When I want to rename the displayed system name or download an Ansible playbook, nothing happens ... currently the UI is without function.

Comment 9 Rob Williams 2019-07-09 20:50:58 UTC
The ability to delete a system directly from the UI on cloud.redhat.com has been pushed to production and can be leveraged by users of Red Hat Insights and Cloud Management Services for RHEL.

When viewing the list of hosts in the inventory, the option to "Delete" is now available on each row under the three vertical dots menu located to the right of each row. Upon clicking delete, there is an additional prompt provided to confirm the deletion of the host, as well as additional steps that must be taken directly on the client if the host still happens to exists and is checking in regularly.

Closing BZ are CURRENTRELEASE
