1. Please describe the problem:
- After upgrade to kernel 5.2.5 my wifi doesn't work anymore. The module r8822be doesn't load and it is not find.

2. What is the Version-Release number of the kernel:
- Fedora 30 kernel 5.2.5-200

3. Did it work previously in Fedora? If so, what kernel version did the issue
*first* appear? Old kernels are available for download at
   https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=8 :
- It's working fine in the the previously kernel (<kernel-core-5.1.20-300)

4. Can you reproduce this issue? If so, please provide the steps to reproduce
   the issue below:
- # modprobe r8822be
modprobe: FATAL: Module r8822be not found in directory /lib/modules/5.2.5-200.fc30.x86_641

5. Does this problem occur with the latest Rawhide kernel? To install the
Rawhide kernel, run ``sudo dnf install fedora-repos-rawhide`` followed by
   ``sudo dnf update --enablerepo=rawhide kernel``:
- No. I don't tried rawhide kernel

6. Are you running any modules that not shipped with directly Fedora's kernel?:
- No. The module is r8822be for "Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8822BE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WiFi adapter"

7. Please attach the kernel logs. You can get the complete kernel log
   for a boot with ``journalctl --no-hostname -k > dmesg.txt``. If the
issue occurred on a previous boot, use the journalctl ``-b`` flag.

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There are a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 30 kernel bugs.

Fedora 30 has now been rebased to 5.5.7-100.fc30. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you have moved on to Fedora 31, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 31.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

Don't be ok on 5.5.7-200 kernel Fedora31
no r8822be module loaded

Comment 6 Hans de Goede 2020-03-04 14:19:28 UTC
I believe that starting with kernel 5.2, your wifi card is being handled by the rtw_pci driver and I do see that attaching to the wifi in the attached dmesg output.

It is possible that this driver change requires you to re-connect / re-add the Wireless network(s) you use in NetworkManager, have you tried this?

Comment 7 igor.bajo@yahoo.com.br 2020-03-10 12:14:37 UTC
I changed the wireless network card and upgrade to Fedora 31.
