Description of problem:
chkconfig has been able to enable/disable services in /etc/xinetd.d for some time now.

However, the man page does not mention this at all:

$ man chkconfig | grep -i inetd
$

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
chkconfig-1.3.13.2-0.3

How reproducible:

This was fixed in chkconfig-1.3.14, and will be in the next major release of Red
Hat Enterprise Linux. With a goal of minimizing change for installed systems, it
is unlikely that this will be backported to prior versions of Red Hat Enterprise
Linux.
