Description Need Real Name 2000-09-18 17:20:20 EDT
Me:
I have purchased, a few years, an official Linux Red Hat 5.1 Distribution,
and I update it periodically.
Today, I have Linux 6.2.
The registration number on the packaging of 3 CD is :
543ce989df6a5bf08b88058533ab6892
The bug:
I have a Modem on serial port, it is an US Robotics 56K FaxModem
I'm French, and I have used RH PPP dialer for connection but after
connection,
the pppd is interrupted by signal 15 and the modem hang up and the Carrier
is no longer detected.
I have installed KDE from the CD and with kppp I dont have any problem to
connect on the web.
can you, please, resolve this problem quick ?
sorry for my bad english.
Thanks.
Rodier Andri, from south of France
PS : Congratulations for your 6.2 distribution, very stable.
