# Description of problem: The version of the microtype package is broken in a way that it does not work together with the lualatex version: https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/476740/microtype-error-with-lualatex-attempt-to-call-field-warning-a-nil-value This means that I cannot compile a document using Pandoc and lualatex because there the template uses `microtype` if it is installed. If I try to uninstall the microtype package, dnf will try to uninstall all of texlive as well. From the Stack Overflow comments I take that we would need a newer version of microtype in order to alleviate this issue. # Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): lualatex: texlive-latex-7:20190410-2.fc31.noarch microtype: texlive-microtype-8:svn46323-27.fc31.noarch
If you update to the texlive-microtype package in rawhide, does this go away? sudo dnf --enablerepo=rawhide update texlive-microtype
Yes, the rawhide version fixes this issue. Thank you!
OK. I think I'm going to bring the texlive build from rawhide to F31 as an update. Thanks for testing!
