This bug is filed against the xorg-x11-drv-ati component, which is the ati
video driver, however the problem indicated in the report, is that the
installer does not detect the monitor.
The monitor detection done in the installer, is done by the ddcprobe utility,
which is part of the "rhpl" package. The X server and video driver are not
involved in installation time monitor detection.
I'm reassinging this to the "rhpl" component, however it is possible that
the method used for monitor detection may have changed since I last
checked. If this is the case, the owner of rhpl will reassign it to the
correct current component.
What happens if you add:
at the boot command line? You may also need to play with that resolution
parameter a little bit.
Closing due to lack of response by reporter.
If this still happens in FC5 final, please reopen.
