# dnf install gedit-plugin-editorconfig Error: Problem: conflicting requests - nothing provides python3-editorconfig needed by gedit-plugin-editorconfig-0.5.3-1.el8.x86_64 (try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages) indeed python3-editorconfig is currently not in EPEL8
Ahh, crumbs. Thanks for reporting. It may be in EPEL as python36-editorconfig. Or it might not be. I'll check and either adjust the Requires or request that it be built for epel8.
Indeed, there's no epel8 branch for the python-editorconfig package, so I've requested one. (bug 1783137)
*** Bug 1783687 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
python-editorconfig has a new maintainer, who's promised el8 and el9 versions of the package shortly. ("a day or two" was the exact statement.) So, this should be solved within a few days. Sorry for the long wait!
