Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 178806
Anaconda doesn't save package selection

Description of problem:
After installation, anaconda leaves behind a /root/anaconda-ks.cfg to be used as basis for future kickstart installations. This used to include the package selection made during installation, but that section doesn't seem to be present in the new installer.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Steps to Reproduce:
1. install FC5 test 2
2. look at /boot/anaconda-ks.cfg or use it for a kickstart install
Actual Results: anaconda-ks.cfg doesn't contain a %packages section (so a kickstart install preceeds with the set of packages checked by default).
Expected Results: anaconda-ks.cfg should contain a complete list of what was done to install the system, which should be usable to reinstall the system or an identical system in exactly the same way.
We've recently added support for this. Please let us know if there are further
bugs with it.
