Hi,

Please can a rubygem-json_pure be branched and built for EPEL 8.

I have verified that the current HEAD package both builds and can be installed with an EPEL 8 mock.

Of course it probably makes sense to resolve.

Sorta weird that a request would come so soon after we just had a bugzilla discussion on it.

What do you need it for?
I'm not saying no, but it would help for next time we have this discussion for EPEL9.

It was for jgrep, I'll look at the removing the dep instead.

I'll leave this ticket open.  Let us know if you are successful in removing the dep or not.
If it breaks jgreg, we can add it.  But it would be nice to have one less package to maintain.

It looks like jgrep was able to be built in EPEL8 without rubygem-json_pure.
