Description of problem: RHEL 8 and RHEL 7 z-stream proposal processes diverged a lot and with opening the possibility to approve bugs to a wider Product Owners group, it turned out this is extremely confusing for many POs and we agreed to unify z-stream proposals (and only proposals - no other changes in Bugzilla for y-stream bug as ITR field or cloned z-stream bugs at the moment). Request: Add a new custom field. Type: Drop Down Name: ZStream Target Release Description: ZStream Target release this bug is proposed for Can be set on bug creation: yes This field must be visible to "redhat" group only. The field must be initially unset. Initial values: 7.8.0, 7.7.0, 7.6.0, 7.5.0, 7.3.0, 7.2.0 This is the same request as for RHEL 8, see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1672226. Please implement it in the same way as for RHEL 8. It would be great if this could be first rolled out in Partners Bugzilla and once we prepare our tooling, also enabled in the main Bugzilla instance.
Is there any reason you can't use the existing CF on RHEL7? If not, you will need to think up a different name and description as CF's cannot have the same values in these fields.
It actually needs to be the same CF. I believe I understand it now - as the CF is already created (previous request), it can now be configured in BZ, so it's possible to do it in administration via custom field and add RHEL 7 to Field only appears when. Did I get it correctly? If yes, please close this request.
The cf_zstream_target_release field can be edited by anyone in the program_management group, they simply need to go to the admin page [1] and add the rhel 7 product to the drop down, save, then click "Edit legal values for this field" and add any values they want for that product.
