Description Michal Jaegermann 2000-10-03 13:48:07 EDT
It looks like that perl included in RH7 distro inherited quite serious
library bug from 5.6.0 Perl release. A detailed description of the
problem, together with a simple patch, can be found here:

http://www.xray.mpe.mpg.de/mailing-lists/perl5-porters/2000-08/msg00232.html

It should be fixed in the next maitenance release but in the meantime
it is there.
