Description Miro Hrončok 2020-04-16 17:37:21 UTC
The latest update of the python-dns package python-dns-1.16.0-9.fc33 has removed the python2-dns package without a prior notice.

There are 2 packages depending on this, mailman and trac-spamfilter-plugin. Both have FESCo approved exception that include python2-dns.

Of you wish to drop the package, please follow the documented procedure and/or at least communicate with the maintainers of the dependent packages.

Comment 1 Lumír Balhar 2020-04-17 06:11:46 UTC
Well, I guess I can try to bring it back. I won't revert the last commits because the specfile looks much better now but I'll have to update the latest patch because it seems to break Python 2 compatibility. Also, `Recommends` are specified for the main package so they don't work for python3-dns subpackage.
