Description of problem: owncloud-client 2.6.0 logs debugging information to stderr by default, making ~/.xsession-errors grow to hundreds of megabytes in size over short timespans when syncing large repositories. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): owncloud-client-2.6.0-1.fc32 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use owncloud-client to synchronise a large repository of files. 2. Watch ~/.xsession-errors 3. Actual results: ~/.xsession-errors is quickly filled with large amounts of debug information. Expected results: Silence in ~/.xsession-errors Additional info: This bug has been fixed upstream in version 2.6.1 and above, see <https://github.com/owncloud/client/issues/7453>. However, F32 still packages version 2.6.0.
As F33 still packages owncloud-client-2.6.0 (with 2.6.3 being the current version), this is still a problem.
This package has changed maintainer in the Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.
I've just adopted the package and updated it to 2.6.3 in Fedora rawhide. I plan to upgrade Fedora 32 and 33 as well.
