Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 184226
Old archive files not cleaned up
Last modified: 2007-11-30 17:07:23 EST
Description of problem:
Old archive files are not removed
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Steps to Reproduce:
1. lvcreate -L 10M -n test /dev/vg0
2. lvremove /dev/vg0/test
3. repeat a number of times
The directory /etc/lvm/archive gets filled up with archive files
Old archive files should be removed, with respect to the parameters 'retain_min'
and 'retain_days' in /etc/lvm.conf
The clean up works in FC4. In both cases with lvm.conf unmodified.
Please provide specific details:
long listing of the backup and archive directories before and after
and output of: vgcfgrestore -ll
Ah - I've reproduced something similar.

I guess you don't want my listings now when you reproduced it. :-)
A fix applied upstream for 2.02.03
