Description sandeep mutkule 2020-06-05 11:50:00 UTC
Description of problem:
Multiple stale recurring logics entries present in Red Hat Satellite webui under >> Monitor >> Recurring Logics

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
6.7

Actual results:
Multiple empty recurring logics entries present in Red Hat Satellite webui under >> Monitor >> Recurring Logics

Expected results:
Removing jobs/sync_plan/tasks should also clean the referenced recurring logics

Comment 1 Adam Ruzicka 2020-06-05 11:58:35 UTC
Could you describe the steps to reproduce? How did you remove each of the things you mentioned?

Comment 2 sandeep mutkule 2020-06-10 10:43:16 UTC
Created attachment 1696470 [details]
Empty/blank recurring logic entries.

Comment 4 Peter Vreman 2020-09-04 16:23:23 UTC
Sat6.7 still creates/leaves ghost recurring entries.

Maybe cleanup of old (successful) tasks in combination then with running the satellite-intsaller --upgrade/--install to upgrade or reconfigure satellite

Comment 9 Peter Vreman 2021-09-21 15:31:32 UTC
Upgrades to Sat6.8 and also to Sat6.9 did not add new diuplciate recurring entries

BZ can be closed

Comment 10 Adam Ruzicka 2021-09-30 09:39:10 UTC
I haven't managed to reproduce this at all, and per #9 it doesn't seem to happen anymore with recent Satellite versions. Closing.

Comment 12 Vincent S. Cojot 2023-03-09 23:43:24 UTC
I'm seeing this on multiple Satellites here. Here's a 6.12 Satellite (on el8.7) which started its existence in the 6.3.z times:

Upon review of our valid but aging backlog the Satellite Team has concluded that this Bugzilla does not meet the criteria for a resolution in the near term, and are planning to close in a month. This message may be a repeat of a previous update and the bug is again being considered to be closed. If you have any concerns about this, please contact your Red Hat Account team. Thank you.

Comment 16 Brad Buckingham 2023-06-13 00:20:36 UTC
Thank you for your interest in Red Hat Satellite. We have evaluated this request, and while we recognize that it is a valid request, we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. This is due to other priorities for the product, and not a reflection on the request itself. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this feel free to contact your Red Hat Account Team. Thank you.
