Description of problem: Multiple stale recurring logics entries present in Red Hat Satellite webui under >> Monitor >> Recurring Logics Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 6.7 Actual results: Multiple empty recurring logics entries present in Red Hat Satellite webui under >> Monitor >> Recurring Logics Expected results: Removing jobs/sync_plan/tasks should also clean the referenced recurring logics
Could you describe the steps to reproduce? How did you remove each of the things you mentioned?
Created attachment 1696470 [details] Empty/blank recurring logic entries.
Sat6.7 still creates/leaves ghost recurring entries. Maybe cleanup of old (successful) tasks in combination then with running the satellite-intsaller --upgrade/--install to upgrade or reconfigure satellite
Upgrades to Sat6.8 and also to Sat6.9 did not add new diuplciate recurring entries BZ can be closed
I haven't managed to reproduce this at all, and per #9 it doesn't seem to happen anymore with recent Satellite versions. Closing.
I'm seeing this on multiple Satellites here. Here's a 6.12 Satellite (on el8.7) which started its existence in the 6.3.z times: [root@sat6 ~]# hammer recurring-logic list ----|------------|-----------|----------|--------- ID | CRON LINE | ITERATION | END TIME | STATE ----|------------|-----------|----------|--------- 5 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 60 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 6 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 105 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 62 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 7 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 120 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 163 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 8 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 189 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 104 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 9 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 125 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 172 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 10 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 53 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 11 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 57 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 59 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 12 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 63 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 46 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 13 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 58 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 165 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 14 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 183 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 101 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 15 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 110 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 99 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 16 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 249 | 0 0 * * * | 124 | | active 176 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 17 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 102 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 122 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 103 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 20 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 167 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 21 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 112 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 96 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 22 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 175 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 179 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 23 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 173 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 243 | 0 0 * * * | 1 | | active 24 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 158 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 25 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 124 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 26 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 178 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 171 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 27 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 1 | 0 0 * * 6 | 69 | | active 2 | 0 0 * * 6 | 1 | | active 3 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 28 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 4 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 106 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 300 | 0 0 * * * | 16 | | active 29 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 123 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 168 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 30 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 108 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 31 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 244 | 0 0 * * * | 1 | | active 166 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 32 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 55 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 159 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 33 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 190 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 247 | 0 0 * * * | 2 | | active 34 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 164 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 54 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 35 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 56 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 36 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 121 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | disabled 37 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 250 | 0 0 * * * | 124 | | active 61 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 38 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 177 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 98 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 39 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 52 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 182 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 241 | 0 0 * * * | 2 | | active 174 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 304 | 15 * * * * | 167 | | active 248 | 0 0 * * * | 2 | | active 245 | 0 0 * * * | 2 | | active 180 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 246 | 0 0 * * * | 2 | | active 97 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 100 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 169 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 181 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 107 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 170 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 109 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 242 | 0 0 * * * | 2 | | active 187 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 161 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 185 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 162 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 160 | 0 0 * * 6 | 0 | | 252 | 0 0 * * * | 124 | | active 261 | 0 0 * * * | 272 | | active 251 | 0 0 * * * | 124 | | active 301 | 0 0 * * * | 16 | | active 302 | 35 0 * * * | 15 | | active 260 | 0 0 * * * | 250 | | active 288 | 0 0 * * * | 82 | | active 273 | 0 0 * * * | 104 | | active ----|------------|-----------|----------|---------

Upon review of our valid but aging backlog the Satellite Team has concluded that this Bugzilla does not meet the criteria for a resolution in the near term, and are planning to close in a month. This message may be a repeat of a previous update and the bug is again being considered to be closed. If you have any concerns about this, please contact your Red Hat Account team. Thank you.
Thank you for your interest in Red Hat Satellite. We have evaluated this request, and while we recognize that it is a valid request, we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. This is due to other priorities for the product, and not a reflection on the request itself. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this feel free to contact your Red Hat Account Team. Thank you.
