Yeah, I already noticed. There are a few other issues though …

Did it work for you after installing pipewire-gstreamer? I am getting some really odd pipewire failure for which I have no explanation (and I already asked around a bit).

There are also some firewall issues and P2P issues in case you want to use it with an actual Miracast device … working on it, updates should happen this week.

I'm still not able to connect to the dummy sink using VLC. It tells me that the connection has been refused, even after stopping firewalld. But it doesn't crash anymore after installing pipewire-gstreamer and process seems to handle normally according to the logs with GST_DEBUG=*:5

Comment 3 Benjamin Berg 2020-06-17 09:44:06 UTC
I think vlc will sometimes/often do multiple connections, which does not work well with g-n-d.

You can try totem, that tends to work better in my experience.

Comment 4 Fedora Update System 2020-06-22 14:19:55 UTC
FEDORA-2020-9edd5addb9 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 32. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-9edd5addb9

Comment 5 Benjamin Berg 2020-06-22 14:21:22 UTC
So, I am pushing a new version into Fedora right now. This also includes the dependency, and will add firewalld integration.

HOWEVER:
 * pipewire still needs to be updated to include fixes (https://github.com/flathub/flathub/pull/1554#issuecomment-647524156)
 * wpa_supplicant update may also be needed (I am in the process of submitting that)
