Description Fedora Release Engineering 2020-08-03 17:07:37 UTC
git-up failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f33

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=47961289

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_33_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix git-up at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
git-up will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 34,
git-up will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Comment 4 Martin Jackson 2020-08-06 13:04:30 UTC
This might be due to the update to Python 3.9.
I'm working with upstream at https://github.com/msiemens/PyGitUp/issues/102 to try to figure this out.

Comment 5 Ben Cotton 2020-08-11 14:03:02 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 33 development cycle.
Changing version to 33.

Comment 6 Martin Jackson 2020-08-23 18:57:14 UTC
Upstream 2.0.0 has been released on github but not on pypi. Will eventually upgrade to this - for now disabling checks as the change that made this FTBFS was a change in a dependency.

Comment 7 Martin Jackson 2020-09-07 15:07:07 UTC
We actually have git-up 2.0.1 in f33+ now.

Comment 8 Martin Jackson 2020-09-07 15:07:55 UTC
We actually have git-up 2.0.1 in f33+ now.
