Description Jack Melim 2006-04-02 23:04:28 UTC
Description of problem:

Installation

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Every time an installation is attempted.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Boot from installation cd 1
2. Complete installation using default partitions which create a volume group
using two ide disks
3. After installation is complete and reboot you receive
"Error 15: File not found"

Actual results:
Will not boot

Expected results:
Boot into Fedora Core 5

Additional info:

Grub.conf shows just two lines:
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz ......

There is no initrd entry in grub - has this behaviour changed ? There are only
two files in /boot with none of the initrd files: no .img files, and no vmlinuz
files.

were you installing virtualization (aka a xen kernel) at install?
