Description Michael J Gruber 2020-09-22 08:43:09 UTC
Description of problem:

Upstream has been dead for 11 years, there is no fork and no-one picks up the PRs to fix FTBFS. The package will mostly likely not survive a future switch to ruby 3.0.

Additional info:

rubygem-erubis is an active project which provides the same functionality (though not API compatible). It is maintained in Fedora.

This bug tracks the progress of depending packages switching away from rubygem-erubis and the removal of the package itself.

You can proceed with this.

Comment 2 Michael J Gruber 2020-10-12 07:39:27 UTC
Retired in rawhide now.

We are after final freeze start and before final freeze end for f33 - so I guess no more package retirements for f33, right?
