Created attachment 1722053 [details] UI-Storageclass-dropdown Description of problem (please be detailed as possible and provide log snippests): Storage Class dropdown list not available while creating storage cluster from operatorhub on IBM Z(s390x) Version of all relevant components (if applicable): [root@ocplnx51 ~]# oc version Client Version: 4.6.0-0.nightly-s390x-2020-10-02-202613 Server Version: 4.6.0-0.nightly-s390x-2020-10-02-202613 Kubernetes Version: v1.19.0+9ec24d6 [root@ocplnx51 ~]# oc get csv NAME DISPLAY VERSION REPLACES PHASE ocs-operator.v4.6.0-604.ci OpenShift Container Storage 4.6.0-604.ci Succeeded [root@ocplnx51 ~]# oc get sc NAME PROVISIONER RECLAIMPOLICY VOLUMEBINDINGMODE ALLOWVOLUMEEXPANSION AGE localblock kubernetes.io/no-provisioner Delete WaitForFirstConsumer false 64m [root@ocplnx51 ~]# oc get storagecluster No resources found in openshift-storage namespace. [root@ocplnx51 ~]# Does this issue impact your ability to continue to work with the product (please explain in detail what is the user impact)? This is part of OCS installation on Z and without selecting storage class name storage cluster installation can't be completed. Is there any workaround available to the best of your knowledge? Yes. Through CLI. Rate from 1 - 5 the complexity of the scenario you performed that caused this bug (1 - very simple, 5 - very complex)? 3 Can this issue reproducible? Yes Can this issue reproduce from the UI? Yes If this is a regression, please provide more details to justify this: Not sure. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log into the OpenShift Web Console. 2. Click Operators → Installed Operators from the left pane of the OpenShift Web Console to view the installed operators. 3. Click the OpenShift Container Storage installed operator. 4. On the Operator Details page, click the Storage Cluster link. 5. Click Create OCS Cluster Service. 6. Try to Select storage class from the Storage Class dropdown list Actual results: Storage Class dropdown list not available to choose storage class Expected results: Should list storage class names under Storage Class dropdown list to choose storage class Additional info: Please let me know incase of must gather logs required.
Two Issues: 1) I don't see any storage class provisioned for the infrastructure. (similar to `thin` for VMWare and `gp2` for AWS) 2) The only storage class is the `no-provisioner` based SC which should be used to create Storage Cluster in Internal-Attached Mode and not in Internal Mode. Hence you cannot see that storage cluster in the Internal Mode tab which is the expected behaviour. Right now I will close this BZ as NOTABUG, please move this BZ to the relevant component if Point (1) is a valid issue and a storage class should have come up by default.
