Might be embedded bitmaps being handled different for one app vs the other. Or perhaps glyph substitution. Can you give me the url of the wiki page seen above so I can reproduce the problem for myself. Or (maybe even better) a line of text which shows this problem when inputted into writer, but not when inputted into gedit. When both apps are set to use the same font.
Thank you for your comment. The url of the wiki page is: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%A1%E3%82%A4%E3%83%B3%E3%83%9A%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B8 A sample line of test: Fedoraã¯ãä¸æã帽ããæå³ããç¥ãã¦ããã£ãã¼ã©ããããã§ãã¼ã©ãã¨å¼ç§°ãããã
The font face seems overly "heavy" in OOo e.g. ç¥ seems very poor in OOo in Sazanami Gothic 12 point.
How does this look... Before any fix: http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/35808/sazanami-before.png After my fix: http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/35843/sazanami-after.png
I think sazanami-after.png looks good. Thank you.
