Description of problem: NovaComputeOptVolumes was introduced some time ago with patch [1] and is used to add custom container mounts for nova-compute containers. At this point it could be used to enable multipathd [2] or to integrate external modules and solutions (for example, Trillio Backups). The problem is that this parameter is not very flexible: a customer may need custom mounts on subset of computes that belongs to specific roles and may want to skip having custom mounts on other computes.
