Latest upstream release: 3.35.0 Current version/release in rawhide: 3.34.1-2.fc34 URL: http://www.sqlite.org/ Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/ More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added upstream. Based on the information from anitya: https://release-monitoring.org/project/4877/
version 3.34.1 and 3.35.0 seem to be ABI compatible. Onply one incompatibility has been seen: ================ changes of 'libsqlite3.so.0.8.6'=============== Functions changes summary: 0 Removed, 0 Changed, 0 Added function Variables changes summary: 0 Removed, 0 Changed, 0 Added variable Function symbols changes summary: 0 Removed, 0 Added function symbol not referenced by debug info Variable symbols changes summary: 1 Removed, 0 Added variable symbol not referenced by debug info 1 Removed variable symbol not referenced by debug info: [D] sqlite3_unsupported_selecttrace ================ end of changes of 'libsqlite3.so.0.8.6'=============== The removal of sqlite3_unsupported_selecttrace, which was introduced in version 3.33.0 (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1868945). It does not seem to me as a big change, but it can cause problems to some users. From this reason, only fedora rawhide will be updated. We will discuss about updating fedora 34.
