Screenshot of Pavucontrol

I have 3 microphones connected on my laptop. The internal microphone which is a Cannon Point - LP High Definition Audio Controller, a Logitech C910 webcam with built in microphone and a Logitech Brio with built in Microphone.

Using various applications I get a variety of behaviors usually manifested by no sound being recorded on the microphone. For instance in Bluejeans I get 4 audio devices. One called Default, one called Cannon Point, one called c910 and one called Brio. But the default and c910 ones do not record any audio. The two other work fine.

In Pavucontrol I get what you see in the attached screenshot where my headphones for some reason get listed as an input device. Also there the c910 does not record any audio.

Yeti microphone set to zero on hotplug

Comment 6 Christian Fredrik Kalager Schaller 2021-05-03 13:27:25 UTC
Way to reproduce most easily:

1. Start pavucontrol and switch to input tab.
2. start connecting the microphones 1by1, and you will see they reacting as you say something in pavucontrol
3. For me, who have 4 microphones, at least one of those will show up in pavucontrol, but then not record any sound.

Comment 7 Nathanael Noblet 2021-05-06 14:41:57 UTC
I have a logitech C910 - it was working until pipewire-0.3.26-4.fc34.x86_64.

I know this is all OSS, however with all the restrictions and doing video calls online I am very motivated to figure out why this is broken. What can I do to help resolve this?
