Description of problem: A line in the map file passed to automounter is greater that 255 chars. The auotmounter fails to start. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): # rpm -q autofs autofs-4.1.3-185 # uname -r 2.6.9-34.EL How reproducible: Always. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a map file with one line > 255 chars. 2. Restart autofs 3. The automounter for that map will not start. Actual results: Jun 16 10:44:16 bdonahue automount[10334]: process 10334 got unexpected signal 11! Expected results: Automounter should have flagged the line as an error and succeeded in starting. Additional info: See attachment. It have general info about the system, /var/log/messages output and the daemon output.

This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update release.
