Description Leif Madsen 2021-05-11 20:58:34 UTC
Description of problem: The use of legacy Smart Gateway has been dropped in future versions of STF, and a new pluggable architecture has been implemented in the sg-core application.

The current SmartGateway CRD is a mash up of various configuration options and limits deployments to only our metrics (Prometheus, collectd/ceilometer) and events (ElasticSearch, collectd/ceilometer) data types.

There are additional plugins such as `loki` that can be used for logging in the future, so extending the CRD and adjusting the Smart Gateway Operator to be able to make use of these plugins, or additional plugins added in the future is prudent.
