Description Florian Weimer 2021-05-21 13:47:51 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1956697 +++

nscd may hang when /etc/nsswitch.conf has a strange access mode (such as 640 *decimal*) and SELinux is enabled.

We do not have a good way to test this in the upstream test suite. We believe the issue is gone from upstream due to the NSS database rewrite because the conflicting information that caused the bug is no longer there.

We should still extract the reproducer into a test case so that we avoid a future regression in this area.
