[This is an OKR 7 tracker RFE. For more information on ORK 7 as it applies to DFG:Compute, see https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1xaYcX1S0K1kejcxHiAV0QhD7J0q7A1aj_h2UvusUMIs/edit] Title: The first compose of a new major version of OSP is often delayed, so QE cannot get started on test automation far in advance of the release. Details: Extend Infrared to be capable of deploying RDO via TripleO. This would allow QE to write and debug the test automation from literally weeks after the upstream GA (or even sooner during the upstream cycle, as RDO is built continuously. The tests would obviously to be re-run against the RHOSP on the appropriate RHEL version, but the heavy lifting in terms of test automation work would already be done. Comment: --- AIs: Investigate TripleO on master.
What's missing from https://github.com/redhat-openstack/infrared/commits/master/docs/source/rdo.rst ?
(In reply to Yaniv Kaul from comment #1) > What's missing from > https://github.com/redhat-openstack/infrared/commits/master/docs/source/rdo. > rst ? Maybe nothing :) This tracker has no assignee yet, but it's possible they conclude that RDO CI as it works on master is entirely sufficient for this.
Working on this slowly (https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/c/openstack/osp-jobs-config/+/429410), but no point in leaving this BZ open.
