Description Vít Ondruch 2021-06-15 19:34:49 UTC
Description of problem:
I am not Python expert, therefore I can miss something, but it is surprising to see python3-pybeam to depend on python3-sphinx. Sphinx is documentation tool, which might be required during buildtime to build documentation, but I can't see how it could be useful for runtime.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
python3-pybeam-0.6-5.fc35.noarch

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:
Excessive runtime dependency on python3-sphinx

Expected results:
No dependency on python3-sphinx

Comment 1 Vít Ondruch 2021-06-16 10:53:48 UTC
As pointed out by mhroncok, there is actually upstream commit removing the dependency:

https://github.com/matwey/pybeam/commit/ee9dae47502218b18cdca1f846060e4797017111

So rebase + dropping the `Requires: python3-sphinx` should help.

I was also told the explicit requires are not needed at all.
