After upgrading to to F34, e16 does not work correctly any more. I'm running over x11 and not wayland due to nvidia. $ xterm Warning: Tried to connect to session manager, Could not open network socket on syslog I get many of: /usr/libexec/gdm-x-session[36187]: Warning: Tried to connect to session manager, Could not open network socket env shows: XDG_SEAT=seat0 XDG_SESSION_DESKTOP=e16-session2 XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11 XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=ENLIGHTENMENT XDG_SESSION_CLASS=user XDG_VTNR=7 XDG_SESSION_ID=42 XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/run/user/1000 DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS=unix:abstract=/tmp/dbus-H9M8flLfnl,guid=79cb869daebf32a65e0312286127781a systemctl --user show-environment: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/run/user/1000 DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS=unix:path=/run/user/1000/bus XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=ENLIGHTENMENT XDG_MENU_PREFIX=gnome- XDG_SESSION_CLASS=user XDG_SESSION_DESKTOP=gnome XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11 Tried to disable /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/00-start-message-bus.sh without any change.
Managed to bypass this by installing xorg-x11-xinit-session and running e16 via .xinitrc with: exec dbus-launch --exit-with-session /usr/bin/e16
