Description of problem: when i try to install package with pear getting this error : PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method PEAR_PackageFile_v1::getURI() in /usr/share/pear/PEAR/Downloader/Package.php on line 1081 i couldnt resolve it. Other pear parameters working good (update,list etc.) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): php-pear-1.4.9-1 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1.pear install XML_RSS 2.PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method PEAR_PackageFile_v1::getURI() in /usr/share/pear/PEAR/Downloader/Package.php on line 1081
I can't reproduce this on FC6 with php-pear-1.4.9-4. Is this still an issue? Maybe a conflict with some other (non-default) PEAR package installed? Incidentally, on a Fedora system, it is often better (cleaner) to install PEAR packages as RPMs. Many packages are already available from Fedora Extras (e.g. yum install php-pear-XML-RSS); if that doesn't work then you can get your own RPM spec file by doing: yum install php-pear-PEAR-Command-Packaging pear make-rpm-spec SomePackage.tar.gz
now i am using pear on fc6 and no problem with "pear install package".
