Hello, if the openldap-servers package is missing from the repositories, it's not a dnf bug, it's up to the opendap maintainers to provide the packages. Reassigning.
Hello, the openldap-servers package is missing from the repositories because it was removed in RHEL 8 and it's no longer supported. The openldap-clients package is still shipped, though, and because of this - it's up to date.
We are unable to provide further support regarding openldap-servers because it was listed as removed packages [1]. openldap-servers was provided in codeready-builder-for-rhel-8-x86_64-rpms as a temporary solution, it is not meant to be a permanent, supported one. That said, we do support following migration path: - OpenLDAP server to IdM [2] - OpenLDAP server to RHDS [3] Please file a support case in Red Hat Customer Portal [4] should you need support on migration. 1. https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/8/html/considerations_in_adopting_rhel_8/changes-to-packages_considerations-in-adopting-rhel-8#removed-packages_changes-to-packages 2. https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/8/html/migrating_to_identity_management_on_rhel_8/migrating-from-an-ldap-directory-to-idm_migrating-to-idm-from-external-sources 3. https://access.redhat.com/solutions/5126661 4. https://access.redhat.com/
