Works fine with keyboard. This is observed in Wayland only. X11 works fine. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): F35 gnome-shell-41.0-1.fc35.x86_64 ibus-1.5.25-4.fc35.x86_64 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open an application for e.g. gedit 2. start entering input in Japanese like 'あ' 3. hit spacebar twice to open candidate window. 4. try selecting any cancidate by mouse Actual results: Selection by mouse does not work. Expected results: Should be able to select candidates using mouse too. Additional info: Please see attached screencast
I think this should be reported upstream to expedite a fix.
I will file this issue to upstream after I compare gnome-shell and mutter versions. I noticed this is a regression of meta-wayland-seat.c with committing preedit text with mouse click in GNOME Wayland. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/merge_requests/1940
