Doc Type: Bug Fix
Doc Text:
.The storage cluster with stretch mode now connects to kernel clients and older Ceph client libraries Previously, an erroneous internal software setting prevented the older Ceph clients from connecting to the storage cluster when the stretch mode was engaged, causing the kernel clients and older client libraries to fail to mount Ceph with an error message `problem decoding monmap, -22`. With this release, the internal software setting was fixed and the cluster deployments that require the stretch mode allow kernel clients and older Ceph client libraries to connect to the storage cluster.

Greg, thanks for looking into the issue.

My question is regarding ODF4.9, as QE is not able to deploy arbiter in 4.9 so what can we do in 4.9 to make this work.
As per my understanding, if we don't have a solution for this then the feature is unusable in 4.9

It's a one-character fix, but I need to push it through upstream and into the RHCS builds. Will get it in soon.
