Description of problem: VBBJ.mk results in compilation errors under certain conditions, known bug fixed in 4.110 or later

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
4.108 (latest available in f34 through rawhide)

Additional info:
should be fixed in 4.110 or later -- current version available in github is 4.215

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 36 development cycle.
Changing version to 36.
