Description Bipin Kunal 2021-12-24 16:16:30 UTC
Description of problem:
While running OCS must-gather, the below error was observed

[must-gather-zr4nx] POD 2021-12-24T14:30:00.060544459Z Error ENOENT: subvolume group 'csi' does not exist

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

OCP-4.9.11
OCS-4.8.6

How reproducible:
1. Run must-gather for OCS-4.8

   $ oc adm must-gather --image=registry.redhat.io/ocs4/ocs-must-gather-rhel8:v4.8 --dest-dir=./cluster-5/

I am not sure if this is reproducible. I will notice on the next run.

Comment 3 Mudit Agarwal 2021-12-25 01:08:40 UTC
The subvolumegroup is only created upon the creation of first subvolume, if you don't have any cephFS subvolume in the system then you will get this error.

Comment 5 Mudit Agarwal 2021-12-27 05:33:07 UTC
No, we can't. The message comes from Ceph.

Comment 7 Mudit Agarwal 2022-01-31 17:36:15 UTC
No, there is no good way.
Moreover it is trivial and doesn't affect the customers because the customers who have cephFS will not see this as they will be having some subvolumes and the customers with rbd will not care about this message.
