Description Scott K Logan 2021-12-28 00:44:58 UTC
Description of problem:
There is no build of ode for EPEL 8. Please branch and build ode for EPEL 8.

Additional info:
If maintenance and/or testing of the EPEL packages is a concern, please consider adding me (cottsay) as an EPEL-only co-maintainer on this package. I'm specifically interested in EPEL 8, but the rawhide branch of this package builds cleanly against both EPEL 7 and 8.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 36 development cycle.
Changing version to 36.

Hello Hans, is there anything I can do to help move this along?

Thanks!

Hi Scott,

Sorry I don't have time to maintain EPEL packages, but I do always welcome co-maintainers who want to do so.

With ode there is an added complication though, ode really needs to be updated to the latest upstream in Fedora first, followed by rebuilding + testing the couple of packages which use ode.

Regards,

Hans

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 37 development cycle.
Changing version to 37.

Hi Hans -

It looks like this package was updated in rawhide.

If you're still unable to maintain additional EPEL branches, I'd like to volunteer to bring up EPEL 8 and EPEL 9 builds.

Thanks,

Thank you for the offer, I have made you a co-admin now so that you can bring up EPEL 8 and EPEL 9 builds.

Note in preparation of this I have just bumped the ode version in rawhide from 0.16.2 to 0.16.3, please make sure that you base your EPEL work on the latest rawhide .spec (so on 0.16.3).
