Description Fedora Release Engineering 2022-01-27 09:26:08 UTC
nauty failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f36

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=81984512

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_36_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix nauty at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
nauty will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 37,
nauty will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Comment 4 Jerry James 2022-01-27 23:37:37 UTC
The failure suggests that something is wrong with -mpopcnt on i386 in GCC 12. I have worked around the problem for now by disabling runtime popcnt support on i386. I may leave it that way, since I expect the number of Fedora users using nauty on i386 to be approximately zero.
