Description louisgtwo 2006-09-16 01:27:10 EDT
At times Soundcard detection correctly finds my card as creative labs SB Live!
EMU10k1 but does not show any pcm devices. Other times it correctly configures
the card and I hear sound.

Seems the config tool gets confused with my usb webcam. When running the tool
when cam plugged the config tool sees the mic from the webcam and not my sound
card. When I unplugged the cam and reboot the sound tool properly configured my
card and was able to hear the sample sound.

This might be a kernel/udev problem. Not sure how to diagnose it.

Please run s-c-sound and attach /root/scsconfig.log when detection is correct
and when it's wrong.

I really don't think this is a s-c-sound problem. One day the sound is working.
I shutdown for the night and the next day when I reboot the sound card is gone.
I have not touched s-c- sound at all.

I reboot again and the card is working fine.
