Description of problem: When trying to enter composed characters in LibreOffice, the combination isn't accepted and the two characters are entered instead. The Compose process still works in the main document. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): libreoffice-7.2.6.2-1.fc35.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open a document (I tried writer, draw and impress) 2. create a comment 3. try to enter a "composed character", e.g. <Compose>+o+" Actual results: o and " are entered in the comment Expected results: ö is entered Additional info: * my compose character is CapsLock * I tried multiple compositions (s+s=ß, a+a=å, etc) and they all fail in the comment, and succeed in the document itself * I set the severity to high because I use multiple languages with an US keyboard and can't enter (quickly) the necessary characters without Compose key * Compose still works in Calc comments
Its possible this a duplicate of https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145580 which will be fixed in the imminent 7.2.7 release. It is likely this only affects the X11 case and the wayland case works ok.
I'll assume its the same thing, so it should be good in libreoffice-7.2.7.2-1.fc35
