Description of problem: hyphen-pt currently uses an dead upstream and all the pt_AO and pt_BR rules are symlinks to the pt_PT ones. Depending on when the rules were originally from, they might be outdated due to changes in spelling and hyphenation rules from the most recent orthographic agreement for Portuguese ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portuguese_Language_Orthographic_Agreement_of_1990 ). While I'm not actually sure if there are significant hyphenation differences between pt_BR and pt_PT, it might make sense to at least upgrade the Brazilian rules from being a symlink to the pt_PT ones to using the pt_BR rules available through LibreOffice's VERO ( https://pt-br.libreoffice.org/projetos/vero/ , especifically the `hyph_pt_BR-213` file in the "Hifenizador" section) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): hyphen-pt-0.20021021-25.fc36.noarch Additional info: As an extra, hyphen-pt is also affect by bug 2084575.
I see that https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/dictionaries/tree/pt_PT still has the same hyphenation rules for pt_PT as we have here in Fedora so I'll take the safer option to leave pt_PT alone until/unless someone updates the default hyph rules in upstream LibreOffice.
