Description of problem:


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):


How reproducible: each time try to test detected audio device


Steps to Reproduce:
1. select System > Administration > Soundcard Detection
2. click [PLAY]
3. No sound heard - check /root/scsound.log
  
Actual results: No sound heard


Expected results: Hear test sound


Additional info: click 'volume control' - get 'No volume control GStreamer
plugins and/or devices found.'

You have quite old ALSA drivers - please check my how-to and install the latest
(1.0.13). how-to is here - http://people.redhat.com/stransky/alsa/

upgraded alsa to:
alsa-lib-1.0.13-1
alsa-utils-1.0.13-1

Problem resolved - Thank You

PC is DELL Dimension 9100
Front panel sound connectors work OK but not rear connectors.
