Description Ben 2022-08-18 10:53:43 UTC
Version 1.2.35 of Tomcat Native is now available. Version 1.2.23 gives warnings when used with Tomcat 8.5 and above. Please can you build a newer version of the package for EPEL 7, 8, and 9?

Possibly doing the same for version 2.0.1 stable, as well!

With thanks,

Ben

Sure. I need to find some time to fix rhbz#2104106; as soon as that's done a rebase will be easy.

We could do that for EPEL 9 since it requires OpenSSL 3.0. I don't see an EPEL 9 package at the moment, so I'd have to create that too.

We don't currently have an EPEL 9 branch for tomcat-native, so I requested one. See https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/46734.

I'm not sure why the updates didn't close this, but it's done :)

Brilliant. Thank you. So that's EPEL 8 and EPEL 9?

EPEL 8 will track tcnative 1.2.x and EPEL 9 will track 2.x. EPEL 8 doesn't offer openssl 3.0 which is the min version for tcnative 2.
