USB devices are not mounted with underscore in their name

Description of problem:
After USB mass-storage devices are mounted their mount directory contains
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mount USB devices, view mountpoints
Steps to Reproduce:
1. mount USB device such as iPod
it is mounted under e.g. /media/My iPod_
it should be mounted under /media/My iPod (no underscore) as it was with FC5
this could be related to bug 213156
[techie@erazim ~]$ mount
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00 on / type ext3 (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
none on /sys type sysfs (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
/dev/hda1 on /boot type ext3 (rw)
none on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
/dev/md0 on /home/media type ext3 (rw)
none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw)
/dev/sde1 on /media/WD USB 2_ type vfat
Fedora apologizes that these issues have not been resolved yet. We're
sorry it's taken so long for your bug to be properly triaged and acted

If you're currently running a version of Fedora Core between 1 and 6,
please note that Fedora no longer maintains these releases. We strongly
encourage you to upgrade to a current Fedora release. In order to
refocus our efforts as a project we are flagging all of the open bugs
for releases which are no longer maintained and closing them.
If this bug is still open against Fedora Core 1 through 6, thirty days
from now, it will be closed 'WONTFIX'. If you can reporduce this bug in
the latest Fedora version, please change to the respective version. If
you are unable to do this, please add a comment to this bug requesting
