Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Laszlo Ersek 2022-10-26 05:31:23 UTC
The latest build is this one:

  https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2124538#c24

It (a) is built with GTK2 still, and (b) lacks the following upstream
commits:

 1 9252495e4f07 "shutdown_actions": suppress "missing initializer" warnings/errors
 2 bea9dca10dce contrib/: remove directory
 3 1ea73c756899 require GTK3
 4 b4859123863f gui.c: remove line truncation (originally a workaround for a GTK2 bug)
5 2f0c000907a3 gui.c: fix warning label wrapping regression under GTK3
 6 67dee8ba0319 remove GTK2 compat code
 7 94f1f9df1994 gui.c: annotate GTK_INPUT_PURPOSE_PASSWORD with upstream GTK3 version
 8  dd423e2e8690 require GLIB2 >= 2.56 and GTK3 >= 3.22; enhance API compatibility
 9 c213ae00a337 remove old GLIB2 / GTK3 compat code
10 0b4199b1edd5 Makefile.am: rectify target dependencies on package dependency files
11 9ec6550ddf3c dependencies.m4: add librsvg2
12 0eab5f491489 valgrind: Suppress leak in atk library
13 414baf42f16c ssh: Free v2v_version on exit
14 f6c166166af3 Version 1.42.3.

With this commit range, we can now build a GTK3-based p2v ISO (at tag
v1.42.3 -- i.e., the last commit in the list).

I've smoke-tested it; passing it on to Tingting now. Thanks!

QE covered 1 linux and 1 windows OS on 5 types of hardware(Iscsi, FC, MD device, LSI-megaraid_sas, NVME), all the conversion have been finished successfully, so close the bug.
