Description Martijn ten Heuvel 2022-11-03 10:09:53 UTC
Description of problem:
When creating a new proxy as per manual found here: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_satellite/6.11/html-single/installing_satellite_server_in_a_connected_network_environment/index#adding-a-default-http-proxy_satellite the test URL is https://aws.amazon.com

However, proxies can be used to provide limited access to the web. This means, the url should match one which is in documentation found here:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_satellite/6.11/html-single/installing_satellite_server_in_a_connected_network_environment/index#configuring-http-proxy-to-connect-to-cdn_satellite

Or the list we point at, here:
https://access.redhat.com/articles/1525183

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
6.11.3 (older versions, same)

How reproducible:
Open form on webpage.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Follow manual
2. See test url

Actual results:

Expected results:
https://access.redhat.com or https://console.redhat.com/

Comment 2 Brad Buckingham 2023-05-19 19:13:44 UTC
We have evaluated this request, and while we recognize that it is valid, we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. This is due to other priorities for the product, and not a reflection on the request itself. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this feel free to re-open providing any additional details or justifications. Thank you.
