Description vishal 2022-11-09 12:53:28 UTC
Description of problem:

Whenever we sync repositories on a satellite, mostly new packages are getting added so the customer is asking if can we able to add a Date and time stamp added to a package when it is uploaded to the Satellite

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Satellite 6.X

7. Does the customer have any specific timeline dependencies?

    NA

8. Is the sales team involved in this request, and do they have any additional input?

Additional info:

This feature would be a very valuable addition to the Satellite and would greatly improve our ability to update our customers on what new packages have been added to the Satellite since we last ran a content update. We run content updates at the beginning of every month so it would be valuable to be able to provide our customers with a list of new packages released since the last content update was run.

Added where - to the API, to the browsable HTML repository endpoint indexes?

If the former, it has always been there, Katello would just need to display that timestamp. If the latter, that's a more recent addition on our end, it's already done but probably not in Satellite yet.
