Description Jamie Bainbridge 2022-11-29 23:30:49 UTC
Description of problem:

I can add a link to an external system by pasting the URL.

For example, I can link https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/merge_requests/1332 to the "freedesktop.org GitLab" by pasting that URL into the "Add link: URL" field. That works fine.

The tracker "Red Hat Knowledge Base (Solution)" does not recognise solutions URLs. It should be possible to past a URL in the format https://access.redhat.com/solutions/2108251 where "2108251" is the link number to create.

I imagine the "Red Hat Knowledge Base (Article)" link is broken in a similar way, it should be possible to link with a URL like https://access.redhat.com/articles/1391433 where "1391433" is the link number to create.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

5.0.4.rh81

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to link https://access.redhat.com/solutions/2108251 to a bug by pasting the URL

Actual results:

Link not recognised

Expected results:

"Red Hat Knowledge Base (Solution)" number 2108251 link is created.

Workaround:

Select "Red Hat Knowledge Base (Solution)" and paste number 2108251

Additional info:

Check if "Red Hat Knowledge Base (Article)" is broken in a similar way for "articles" URLs

Comment 1 Jeff Fearn 🐞 2022-11-29 23:36:34 UTC
This works for me for both types.

Comment 2 Jamie Bainbridge 2022-11-30 00:46:00 UTC
I promise I just tried it on another bug and got an error message.

However, it works now on this bug. Closing.

Thanks for the quick response!
