We don't ship the bits to support staging-ovirt based virtualized control planes in OSP17. We should remove, or update this section. We may also want to add a something to releasenotes that staging-ovirt is no longer supported. Hi Harald, I have 25 mentions of Red Hat Virtualization in the director guide alone. Should we remove all mentions of it? Thanks Fiona

Customers can still use Red Hat Virtualization, but they must then use the pre-provisioned approach. (see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2177619#c6) I think what at a minimum should be removed is: 26.2. steps 1. 2. and 3. - the other instructions are related to manual configuration in Red Hat Virtualization which is still relevant if using pre-provisioned nodes. But, honestly since Red Hat Virtualiztion is going EOL - I think we can just remove it all from the 17.x docs? It does not make sense to guide the user to deploy on a platform that will not be supported for much longer.
Yes, that is what I was thinking - RHEV is EOL soon so we should remove all mentions from OSP17.0. Let me take a look at it and I will create an MR for your approval.
Hi James, Could you please confirm from a DF point of view that removing all mentions of RHEV is correct for OSP 17. I just want a DF perspective and OK before I merge the changes. Thank you Fiona
