AFAICS, there is nothing specific pointing at Xwayland code here, it's all in the DIX code. Is it reproducible at will?
No I do not have a reproducer for this, it just happened once, and I reported it. I don't know what "DIX" code, I'll let you move this if needed, or close, as you see fit.
